Anne Barkley: A Sense of Place at Tay Gallery Kanata

 Tay Gallery Kanata is pleased to present new abstract paintings by Anne Barkley  until May 31, 2012  in a solo exhibition ” A Sense of Place .

 Anne Barkley is an abstract painter based in Ottawa region near Cornwall. She is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists ( SCA) and has exhibited in Ottawa, Toronto, New York and Florence Italy. Through her work, Barkley endeavours to capture something of the spirit of people and their environments.  Barkley’s recent work explores abstract paintings that begin with a landscape orientation. These various land and city scapes invite the viewer to enter and negotiate the implied spaces to study what is seen or imagined.

Opening Reception Saturday for Anne Barkley: A Sense of Place

Join us  this Saturday May 5th  for the opening reception of  ” A Sense of Space” , featuring  new abstract paintings by Ottawa region artist, Anne Barkley. Meet the artist between 2 and 4 p.m. Over 25 new paintings on exhibit  by Barkley from May 1 – 31, 2012.
