Call for Figurative Art Submissions at Tay Gallery

Tay Gallery Kanata is presenting a summer group show titled “Heat of the Moment” from July 4 – August 27th.  We have a great line up for this show with most of the artists and artwork chosen.

We are  looking for a  few additional  paintings from a local figurative/portrait artist  to exhibit in this show that speak to this theme in a dramatic way. The central motif  will be  people or a single person.   Please submit  2- 4 recent paintings that have not had  public exhibition exposure by June 18th.

“*Heat of the moment” describes the immediacy and aliveness of being very involved  in an activity- and even overwhelmed by the experience of the moment.  Moments of present awareness bring with it  a state of timeless calm.

*Use of double entendre with this theme  – heat of summer  in the heat of moment – a possibility but not required.
